Bogus charity collector campaign heads south
Fundraising, News.. — By TFNadmin on 08/12/2011 10:00 pmA CAMPAIGN to help consumers distinguish between legitimate and bogus charity bag collections, launched in September in Scotland, is to be replicated south of the border. Half a million households in “crime spots” in England and Wales will receive leaflets warning on how to avoid bogus bag collections. The Fundraising Standards Board campaign hopes to achieve a similar level of support from parliamentarians in England as it did in Scotland.
