MINISTER for Children and Young People Aileen Campbell and Heather Scott, 23, help launch a month-long drive to recruit new members for Scotland’s Children’s Panel. A bench bearing lines from a new poem by Scotland’s national poet Liz Lochhead was unveiled at Edinburgh’s Botanic Gardens to mark the event. The poem “Trouble is not my middle name” was penned to appeal to the 600 volunteers needed to ensure the system offers the best support to neglected, troubled and abused children.
