Are doctors justified in taking strike action?
Some doctors working today will retire with a pension worth £68,000 a year, while those who stop working at 65 will still get more than £53,000 a year, according to government figures. Yet the BMA is planning the first doctors strike in 40 years because doctors are having to work longer to get lower pensions. Do you sympathise with their cause?
